Cryptic Masonry

The term “Crypt” signifies a concealed place, or a subterranean vault. The existence of crypts or

secret vaults under the Temple of Solomon is revealed, not only by certain legions of Freemasonry,

but by the earliest and the most recent topographers of Jerusalem. Within these subterranean hiding

places were preserved some of the most sacred and meaningful secrets relating to ancient craft

masonry.  Hence Cryptic Masonry is illuminating for those who wish a better understanding of all

Masonic procedure and of the legions, otherwise unknown, upon which great symbolic truths are

based. Herein is provided for the Masonic student resources of intense interest and fascinating

instruction.

Cryptic Masonry is represented by the Council of Royal and Select Master Masons, an adjunct

of the York Right.  Three degrees are conferred by this Council;  Royal Master, Select Master, and the

Super – Excellent Master.  The work of each, and of the three degrees combined is historic and

Impressive. The things involved in becoming a loyal, faithful, and persevering Mason are most beautifully exemplified.
