Joppa Council and Special Olympics

The Grand Council of Royal & Select Master Masons of Pennsylvania has adopted the Special Olympics as its charity. Accordingly, Joppa Council No. 46 is a staunch supporter of Special Olympics activities in the Philadelphia area.

In 2003, Joppa Council members and friends will out to volunteer at the Special Olympics May Games and at a Special Olympics soccer competition held in October.

The May Games of Special Olympics will be held on Saturday, May 3 at Northeast High School, Cottman & Algon Streets.  Volunteers are needed.  For more information contact Tom Hopkins at 215-491-2650 or by email: thopkins@globalthrift.com

Celebrity Sports Auction!

Thursday, May 8th 6PM to 8PM at the Pyramid Club 1735 Market Street , 52nd Floor. Please join Honorary Chair persons Bobby Taylor of the Eagles and Brandon Duckworth of the Phillies for a cocktail reception with Sports and media celebrities. A silent and live auction featuring sports memorabilia will benefit the Special Olympics

 

Joppa Council holds an annual fundraising reception on the third Thursday of October. The Franklin Inn Club in Center City Philadelphia has graciously hosted this reception.
